When Joby sends me stuff, I always look. He has good taste. This website is no exception. It's for a comedian called Demetri Martin who I've never heard of and it's done really beautifully. Funny too - the tour bit is great.
Things have been a little quiet on the blog recently. This usually happens when things get busy at work, and try as I might, once I'm at home I can't quite summon the energy to write about the stuff that I did during the day.
The thing that's keeping me busy at the moment is the making of an advert. There will be a new innocent spot on the telly in a few month's time, so yesterday we went to the park to make a test version. A friendly dog stopped by for a while to help out (see above).
We tried out a few things during our test, one of which was me doing some acting. What I learned from this particular test was that I am rubbish at acting. OK at writing scripts, rubbish at acting.
The moral of the story - stick to what you know, unless you can't afford Gene Hackman.
It's not often that someone draws a picture of me, so I thought I'd celebrate such an event with this post. That's me on the left. Next to me is a cat wearing some pants, which represents my colleague Kat (geddit?).
Mush drew the picture. He's one of a group of students we've been doing a bit of stuff with. Thanks Mush.
Skips are usually yellow and battered, so I liked this one when I saw it. No doubt there is some sort of 'skip art' blog/flickr group that I should post this to, but I can't be bothered to look for one right now.
Here's a clever thing. Admittedly it's only a beta release at the moment, but it's called Tangerine and it helps you create playlists in iTunes. Specifically, it analyses "the BPM and beat intensity of the songs in your iTunes library", which means that it makes it easy to create playlists that are full of crazy beats for when you're off out for a run, or perhaps a more relaxed set of songs for when you're reclining by the pool. Smart.
