A new book has been written about innocent. It's written by John Simmons, a very nice man who we've known for a while. John's written some great books about the power of words in business, and recently turned his attention towards us.
Not quite sure how wide the readership will be, but for anyone who likes innocent, stories about start-ups, fruit and that whole entrepreneurial schtick, perhaps it's the one for you. I've got three copies on my desk if you fancy one. Just post a comment and I'll send you one over. Best comments win.

I'd say that if you want to learn German it pays to choose a teacher with a German, not an Italian, name.

He was a good teacher. Very enthusiastic. Scarily so. Frightened me off pretty quickly.

No, this is my comment for this blog - it's just that I'm referring to the one underneath. But, hey, it's late, I'm tired - am I just trying to be too smart?

PS - I'd rather have the book than the tankard. And make sure you don't get Marcus to deliver it in person.
Thanks.

enjoyed invisible grail. looking for a new book, fruit theme would be good, particularly as my wife keeps waking me up in the middle of the night eating bananas (she's 5 months gone)

Dan. This is not an application for the free book - but would you like to join Colman, his mate 'Picklin' Paul, and I in a challenge to the Nigerian Embassy at the game of bowls ?

There'll be team shirts in it (and maybe an anthem)

Hi Dan, I'm not clever enough to make a philosophical or amusing comment. But I am clever enough to know that any inspiration I can draw from great brands that I admire has got to help me out in my job. And who knows, I may actually learn a little about fruit too, which is always nice, as being a recent graduate, the closest I get to fruit and veg is the sweetcorn in my pot noodles. :-)
P.S. Tom - It may take me a little longer, but I may look into assembling a northern rabble to challenge your newly assembled bowling bloggers in the future. Anyone fancy it?

Do you have an anthem ?
Posted by: Tom Lewis - Reynier | December 20, 2006 at 10:42 AM
I'm sure we could rustle something up, I'm originally from Leicestershire, once home of Engelbert Humperdinck. It's in my blood. Must be.

No pressure Dan, but I reckon the Nigerians are there for the taking.

They are SHITTING THEIR PANTS at us.

I am ready for the Nigerians. They play their bowls fast and loose, but I'll bring my lucky towel to ensure plenty of sidespin.
I propose the music from TJ Hooker as our anthem.

...which means you sort of need to put Heather Locklear somewhere on the team shirts.
Posted by: Nicholai | December 21, 2006 at 02:29 PM
That's do-able.
Now, I just need to get the letter sent off to Mr Death (although I am sure that the role has rotated to another bowler) - and then we await the response. Towels and T - Shirt designs at the ready. Joe - get your anthem in order (we've baggsied Hooker) - and I'll let you know about clothign on my return from sunny France
