My earlier red sock post earned respect from Colman, who some say is the father of all red socks.
Then we got some red sock love from Brett in Vancouver.
Now we are starting to see one of those excellent screen within a screen within a screen things going on. Is there a fourth red sock post out there somewhere?

Paul wanted to hear more about Kimbo Slice, who recently popped up on this list of best facial hair. Paul likes all of that fighting stuff you see.
So here's what I found out about Kimbo:
Kimbo Slice's real name is Kevin Ferguson and is 33 years old. Kimbo Slice is approximately 6'2 tall, and weighs 250 lbs although his weight varies between fights. Kimbo is always shown with a full beard and a clean-shaven head.
Kimbo Slice was a star defensive football player for Miami Palmetto High School in the Pinecrest area of Miami, Florida. In college, he went on to the University of Miami on academic scholarship, but did not play football. He was there for only a year and a half.
Kimbo Slice worked as a bodyguard for RK Netmedia, a Miami-based pornography production/promotion company responsible for number of popular adult subscription websites.
Kimbo Slice has a son called Kevlar and a daughter called Kevina.
Kimbo Slice was a Miami, Florida-based underground street fighter. The underground fight videos swept across the web making him an overnight sensation. The brutal knockouts, tough appearance of Kimbo, and catchy phrases increased his popularity. Kimbo appeared in eight street fight videos, winning seven of them. His lone lost was to Boston police officer, Sean Gannon. The fight was marred with controversy because Kimbo's crew says Gannon broke the fight rule (see kimbo fight rules below). Many Kimbo critics state that Kimbo never fought anyone decent beside Gannon.

1.This is not a mixed martial art or a street fight
2.Only punching allowed (no elbows, knees, kicks, etc.)
3.Stand up fighting only
4.No holding or grappling with opponent is allowed

6.Ways to win are KO, thirty second count out, and if the other guy quits

Looks like a couple of friends taking surreptitious shots of men with moustaches (can't see any women on there) and then making up stories about the people they see. Good examples are the man with the kebab aura, the puppet hanger and Al Pacino.

Come on Sony. Don't make it easy for me to think that you're getting slack and flabby. Seems like it's easy to have a pop at you these days.
But here's what happened - I needed to buy a dictaphone, so did my research and found a smart Sony model. Got excited (as I do before any new gadget is about to arrive) and then marvelled at how small it was when it arrived (it's the thing that's sitting on top of the box).
However, the thing I'll remember about my most recent Sony experience is the amount of paper that came in the box. Instructions for the device in pretty much every language you care to mention, plus instructions for the cruddy proprietary software, in all of those same goddamn languages. So much paper - in fact, the only reason for the size of the box was so it could carry all of that paper. Stoopid.
So I was thinking, why don't they just give you a little bit of (paper-based) info upon receiving the gizmo - the basic start-up guide. Then, if you need more info, you could maybe read it on a Sony website, and print it out (in one language) if you really needed it. You'd save money on paper and packaging, perhaps retain those customers who are beginning to think you're being a bit stupid, and not look like you're slaughtering the planet just because you can't be arsed to think of something smarter.
That's probably what a clever company would do.
