The Beta Band are no longer with us (sob), but it's good to see that The Aliens are keeping up the Beta tradition of making daft little films that don't have anything to do with the music. Here's a recent example:
My friend Ben points us in the direction of a nice piece in the Guardian by Shane Meadows. It's about his new film This Is England, but also more generally about how life has changed since the 1980s, and about what it was like being a kid then, like I was.
Something useful that a friend (Adam) sent me the other day - a web thing that converts youtube videos to a few different file formats, so you can put them on your ipod or play them on your computer.
(In the interest of geek fairness, I should say at this point that another solution is available, and it's called Tubesock. I've used it a few times and it works well.)
I should have mentioned this earlier, but the stuff that I say on this blog isn't necessarily the opinion of the company that I work for, which is called innocent.
